TEHRAN – Iran and major powers will start a fresh round of talks on Wednesday in Vienna to draft a final nuclear deal.

Seyed Abbas Araqhchi and Majid Takht-Ravanchi will lead Iran’s delegation to the talks, Mehr news agency reported.
Negotiators from the major powers (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) will be headed by Helga Schmid, an aide to EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.

The talks will continue to Friday.

Takht-Ravanchi said Iran seeks a “good” deal with major powers. However, he said that Tehran will not cave in to any excessive demands by the opposite side.

“We are after a good agreement, but will under no circumstance give in to excessive demands by the opposite side,” Takht-Ravanchi said, Press TV reported.

Takht-Ravanchi, who is the Iranian deputy foreign minister for European and American affairs, made the remarks in a meeting with Director General of Foreign Policy of Chile, Alfredo Labbé Villa, in Tehran on Monday.
